| About | i have always had a strong passion for the fine arts. typical styles and trends never moved me, therefore, i never had interest in subjects that were not thought provoking, passionate, daring, or enlightening...i am one who takes the road less traveled. by always wanting to push the envelop, photography and music serves as perfect mediums for me to be as creative as i wish. music, in it’s purest form, has no boundaries; it offers a sense of therapy. music provides insight and strength to find peace during intolerable situations. my hunger for bebop, the blues, funk, and rock & roll continues to broaden my understanding of culture and life in general. my intent as a disc jockey is to share my personal experience with specific artist while striving to promote music composition to common society. my duty as a dj goes far beyond toe tapping, head nods, and dancing. i carefully select works of art that will move minds and souls. my simple request is to just listen... charles saadiq 2009 |
